After learning the basics in a familiar area, Gilli took Nimueh to train outside the den for a new, exciting challenge. Nimueh had to ambush Gilli using all the knowledge gathered so far and see how different it is in an unfamiliar area.
Balinor brought a massive branch today and asked all participants to grab onto it with their jaws and hang as long as possible. It looked hilarious as they walked around the den like this for a long while, but Nimueh determinedly kept her jaw shut and ignored the giggles of the other pups.
Balinor explained to Nimueh that with bigger prey, you can wound them in vulnerable areas so that they are easier to take down. Nimueh mimicked where he bit the carcass near the belly and ankles.
Nimueh now understands how to interpret every ear position with alignment of the tail angle. It was so complex, but Gold was a good teacher.
Gilli taught Nimueh an important lesson about effective running techniques. She was surprised how the depth of breath or change of pace can influence the results.
