Axel joined the Pack of the Peaks as a flirtatious, immature, young wolf. He was actually very drawn to Larri but didn't want to disturb her life with Ferrin and their pups. So he mated with Twyla and had pups with her. Twyla and he loved each other deeply, but their love sadly fizzled out after they had pups. Axel wasn't ready to be tied down and became more like a fun uncle to his pups rather than a father. This infuriated Twyla and she broke off their relationship. Heartbroken, Axel spent the next few months alone...until he noticed his former crush, Larri in heat. He confessed his love to the Alpha, and she returned it.
In the present day, Axel is serving as Larri's beta and is a much better parental figure than he used to be. He is still quite the flirt and often hits on the other wolves of his pack, much to Larri's amusement. Axel regrets hurting Twyla, but he is much happier with Larri.

Larri - Alpha, Mate - Axel may flirt with other wolves, but Larri is the one who truly has his heart. Axel will often offer to grab Larri anything she needs, or ease her of her Alpha duties. If you ask Axel about his love for Larri, he'll gladly reply that she was worth the wait.
