Biography
Otter was found along the borders of the pack by Queen Esme, taken in and raised alone–she was taught everything the Queen could teach.
Unfortunately on her year old birthday, Esme passed into the heavens–leaving Otter to be the Queen of the Sweven Pack.
She was now named Queen Otter, 1st of her name, the humble.
Try as she might, she has lost loved ones. Especially her adopted brother Billy, the albino wolf and mother.
Now she hopes to regain the packs strength, taking in lost or lonely rogues an pups.
She seems to fancy Elrond...
Each wolf and pup she finds herself connecting with, thanking them with smiles for all the gifts and listening intently to the tales an woes they tell her. She even greets an says farewell to her scouts, wishes her healer goodluck during her foraging.
Through the second Lunar Event she had helped the shop-keep find her partner, feed baby birds and break open a stone for a racoon. Her kindness and helpfulness gained her several lunar tears, in which she was able to trade the shop keep for her new decor! The feathers. The body beads had been given to her as a gift from her adopted mother before she became Queen.
Within the middle of the night, Otter had met another wolf at the outskirts of the grass lands. Queen Akali of the Ss'kheri pack, dressed in a blue cloak and gifted the blue essence flames. She had a pup within her maws, a piebald with a red and grey fur.
They spoke lowly, the other Queen stating how she had taken in the pup but couldn't keep her as she had wanted to. Otter admired her, the way she held herself and spoke and admitted that she couldn't care for the pup as she had wished to. She quietly agreed taking her in–stating that at any point the older wolf was able to come and visit her.
Otter couldn't tell if the other she wolf liked her, but she hoped a friendship would sprout from the neighboring pack and more importantly with their leader.
She learned that the piebald's name was Kindel, a fitting name for a small but strong pup. She soothed her as much as she could on their journey home–introducing her to the pupsitter.
Several moons into Elrond joining, Otter found herself alone with the male–laid within the caves of the mountain, listening as he jabbered on about old stories of elders and pups. Eventually he had stopped, quietly staring at her.. before he had confessed his feelings. In delight she did so to, and they spent the rest of their evening there.
Otter continues to help raise each pup as her own, even finding that Sweetheart–as well as Kindel–would make excellent Queens after her.
Heira's recent behavior has forced the Queen to put her foot down and strip the wolf of her title as Heir to Swevenpack. She bestows it it to Kindel and Sweetheart, taking more time out to teach them the ways of the pack.
She continues to visit and invite the neighboring Queen Akali over. She enjoys their small talks, gossip and bonding time they share. Especially since Kindel's anxiety wanes a little with every visit.
An announcement is held in name of Selenite's future pups. They, if born, will be the first pups born in over a decade. Queen Esme was the first and last to give birth within the Swevenpack. So said news excits the small pack. The queen personally gives the hunter a gift, stating how happy she is.
Near summers end, Otter visited her herbalist and even the bear–quietly receiving the news that she was not in fact sick but pregnant. Excited, the queen returned to her den and informed Elrond after waking him. Through the morning that followed, she announced that she was holding pups to the pack. She recieved many congratulations and she seemed to grow closer with Selenite as they shared ideas of how their pups would grow and old stories.
On the calmest yet breeziest day in the summer, Selenite gave birth to four healthy pups! Later on in the day when them and their mother we're finally asleep–she announced that three girls and one boy had been born. Hound, Soot, Lavender and Fawn are the first pack born pups in an entire decade. Thr pack celebrated, quietly, and when the new mother awake–congratulated the parents. Otter gave her thanks and congratulations once more to the newly named parents–greeting each pup with an elated smile. "You have all the right to be proud of yourself and your pups. They are the first to be born within a whole decade since the last ones. I know they will do great things like their parents."
On the dawn of the first day of autumn, Otter gives birth to three healthy pups. Pine, Chief and Drift. Elrond is over the moom about them, comforting the new mother and asking when she wanted to tell the pack. It wasn't till the moon rose into the sky later that night that she had Selenite do it for her, stating that she needed the rest. Once more, the pack celebrated the new additions to the pack quietly.
Through the dead of the night, on a chilled winter night Otter loses Drift to an infected bite. No amount of herbs and praying to the gods help heal the pup, and unfortunately she loses her second daughter.
After losing her daughter, Otter begins to have nightmares–beginning with the loss of her other two pups via the mountains burying them in terrible avalanches and ending with her seeking guidance to the gods above. Lunisolace is the first she goes to after many sleepless nights, asking the star spangled being for a sign that her daughter passed to the heavens.
She visits Beseecher next–patiently awaiting the other gods answer when she prays to this god for solutions after Pine tells the queen of her own weird dreams. What do the Will-o-the-Wisps mean by 'home'? And why is it always set within the Tundra?
For every gift and prayer sent to the gods, Otter recieves small hints. The dreamlands of Lunisolace have returned to help reassure her that Drift is well in the afterlife. Beseecher answers with the famously known Will-o-the-Wisps, guiding the mourning wolf in broad daylight through the forest's towards the Tundra–murmuring on about the new life that can start there. She realizes now what Pine's dreams are about.
It is a clear sign that the Tundra is where they must go. Entire pack and all. She gathers her high ranks, including the Herbalist and aged Scout–Dragonfly–to discuss the gods message and quest they must take. She has her worries an doubts as others do, but Elrond comforts her. "The gods know what is best for us. If they've been sending Pine such signs, even at her young age–that means it is true and good."
Queen Otter, no longer able to defend Badgers ways–has stripped the second heir of her title and taken back the lunar decor. She states how disappointed she is and how saddening it can be to see not one, but two heirs be taken down. Leaving Kindel the only heir.
Otter congratulates Kindel when the news of her pregnancy is found during a small visit to Queen Akali. She secretly sets up a small celebration for the mother an daughter(hopefully easing the tension when Akali demands the name of the male Kindel met).
