However, one event that changed him was the death of his father, the previous pack leader. It was a difficult transition for Matuac, but he stepped up and proved himself worthy of the title.

Matuac has a strong bond with his mate, a female wolf named Boudica, who is also the pack's alpha female. Together, they have raised several litters of pups and continue to work together to keep the pack strong. Matuac also has a close relationship with his second-in-command, a wolf named Garbán, who has been by his side since they were pups.
