Osprey

Osprey had woken up in a very bad mood. Auger had woken her up by pouncing on her, AGAIN. Ugh. "Wake up! Today we're going to Riverbone pack!" She had said. That had gotten Osprey awake. Osprey and her siblings were told when they were just little pups they'd be moving there when they were older. She had found out as soon as they got there they'd be given jobs as soon as they were of age. That had excited Osprey. Now, she's sitting in a cave waiting for Auger or Truce to walk by so she can scare their tails off. She hears pawsteps, and she leaps out of her hiding place. "BOO!" She screams. "ACK!" Came the reply. Osprey pounces on the wolf. "WHAT IN THE MOON ARE YOU DOING?! GET OFF OF ME!" This was not her siblings voice. In fact, the voice was unfamiliar. "I- I'm so sorry!" She climbed off the big wolf. He was large, and very mad. He glared at her. "Who are you? What are you doing here?!" He growled. "Uh, I thought you were my brother or sister." She stammered. "I'm Osprey." She mumbled. He studied her for a minute. "Huh." He huffed. "I'm Kaine." He said. "I'm sorry for pouncing on you. I was supposed to pounce on one of my siblings. " She stares at the ground. "Why?" Kaine asks. "Because my sister woke me up this morning by pouncing on me, and my brother and I don't get along too well. My other sister is getting shown around today, though, so I knew it wouldn't be her." Osprey replies. Kaine cocks his head. "Why not the rest of you? He asks her. "Well, she can't see too well, so she needs to learn her surroundings. The rest of us adjust pretty quickly." She answers. "Oh." He says. "Well, I guess I'll let you get back to your hiding/pouncing thing.." Kaine says awkwardly. "Thanks. Bye." Osprey says, and she goes back to hiding behind the stone wall. She can still see Kaine, sitting shaking his head. Finally he gets up and walks out of the cave. Leaving Osprey alone again, waiting for her next victim.
