Wheeler is actually a hybrid. He is 60% Wolf and 40% Husky. He was on a hunting trip with his people and had gotten lost and had been abandoned by them. Siweka found him all alone and scared underneath an old stagecoach with broken axels and wheels, in the Deciduous Forest while on an exploration and brought him back to the den. At first he was not accepted by most in the pack, due to his "dog-like" actions. But he has been accepted now, due to his rightful duties to the pack. He does so happen to stay alert and gets nervous around Tihikata due to some trust issues from him. Tihikata still distrusts Wheeler and finds him indifferent due to his domestic canine blood.
