He came not out of love but in the resignation of knowing that there would be and is no place in his birth pack for him to reside forever. Gone were the days of his mother's devoted comfort that he had experienced in his pup-hood, now at nearly half a month away from being 7 months old he had seen his elder siblings leave their packs in large quantities if they had not been bartered well to the surrounding and foreign passing packs. As many of my siblings had gone their own way early on, one of the closest siblings that I had was my first cousin Corvinus who was also on the bartering block in that hot desert heat. When my arrangement had been finalized, I had to appease greatly to the Domina to accept Corvinus as well full knowing how much at stake it was.
