Shofi

Born into a pack that resided in the deepest, darkest parts of a coniferous forest, Shofi was raised not as a family member, but as a warrior. His pack focused on becoming the strongest, fastest and most well-known pack in the land, and they never let anything stand in their way. As a very passive and friendly wolf, this behavior did not sit well with Shofi, but each time he spoke up against it, he was broken down into submission, in one way or another. The pack's toxic mindset quickly led to conflict with other neighboring packs and war after war ravaged the land, scaring off the local prey and destroying the environment in the process. Eventually, all the neighboring packs banded together to take down Shofi's pack, and though they fought hard, the forest that they once called home was now stained with their very blood, their bodies to become the nutrients for the land to thrive once more.
As the last wolf standing, Shofi tried to explain that he was nothing like his now-late pack members, but the years of pain, loss and torment that the other packs had gone through because of the fallen pack left opened wounds in their hearts. Shofi was just as much of an enemy to them as the rest of the pack. For days, weeks and even into months, the young male was chased from his home, rarely able to rest as the most desolate wolves, corrupted by rage, tracked his every movement. In a desperate attempt to escape them once and for all, he began the perilous journey into the snow-covered mountains, hoping the drastic change in environment would shake his pursuers enough to give in. A sudden blizzard occurred just a few days after his ascent, and while he was fighting for his life, he came face to face with a strange wolf who quickly led him to safety in a burrow. The wolf introduced himself as Grashere, a young male that was born and raised in the mountains. For four days, the two strangers stayed safe in the burrow, chatting about their lives and getting to know each other while they waited out the storm. At last, Shofi finally began to feel safe with the kindness and warmth of another wolf by his side.
When the blizzard cleared, the two spent even more time together, exploring the land, hunting together, and Grashere teaching Shofi the things he knew after years of living in the mountains. Eventually, Grashere came to Shofi with an offer. Knowing Shofi would never be able to return to his homeland, Grashere suggested that Shofi stay here, he'd teach him everything he knew about the mountains, and most importantly, make sure Shofi was safe and happy as long as Grashere was by his side. With this, the Fareastern pack was formed, with the intention of welcoming every wolf with open arms, and to treat them as Shofi always wanted to be treated: as a family.
