Found alone on the tundra by Stands in Shadows while on a scouting mission, this nameless pup was carried home and adopted by him and his mate, Walks Along Forest's Edge.
He was soon granted the name Jackdaw Flying at Dusk and quickly befriended the other pup his age in the Cairnhowe Pack, Storm in Winter Evening, who turned out to be his littermate.

Jackdaw proved himself a skilled hunter and a quick learner, and he seems destined to one day do great things-- if only he'd stop daydreaming while at training...

After Hroki's unexpected death due to the natural disasters happening, Jackdaw was thrust into the leadership position at an extremely young age, barely an adult. During his first battle, a brutal fight against the Rougarou, he received his scars, and has become increasingly despondent and miserable since.
