Venus

Venus, along with her sibling Shooting Star and friend Moonbeam, was one of the founders of the Band of Stars. Venus had been traveling with Shooting Star since she was an adolescent, and though never properly trained under an adult's watchful eye, she grew to be resourceful in her own way. 

Though Shooting Star eventually assumed the leadership role of the pack, Venus started out as the more bossier among the three, and had much say in what the group did and where they went. While Shooting Star was more interested in exploring as much territory as possible, Venus was looking for stability and hoping to find a place where they could settle. It was only after a year of wandering that Venus firmly encourage they find a territory that could sustain them for the rest of their life. And so they traveled up the mountains. 

The first few days of becoming familiar with their territory, Venus offered to go hunt for some smaller prey while Shooting Star and Moonbeam concerned themselves with marking and exploring their territory. While chasing a hare Venus slipped off the edge of a cliff and fell. She survived the fall but her leg was severly injured, and she was unable to get up. Feeling scared and vulnerable, Venus had no choice but to stay where she was, hoping that Shooting Star and Moonbeam would go looking for her. 

She was eventually found, but not by her sibling or friend. An unfamiliar wolf caught her scent and approached her cautiously, asking if she needed help. The wolf introduced herself as Umbra and after Venus explained her situation Umbra promised her to help her find her pack. Helping her to her paws, Umbra and Venus began to travel back to the den site, talking and getting to know each other along the way. 

Venus and Umbra eventually made it to the den site, and after a heartfelt gratitude from Shooting Star Umbra asked to join the pack. Hearing Shooting Star's approval filled Venus with joy, she had just met this wolf but felt a strong bond between her after the journey. Together they established the first official hunting party of the pack: the Shadow Stalkers. Though Venus' leg never fully healed after the accident, she found her strength in stalking and tracking the prey, while Umbra made for a gifted chaser.
