Leilani was born of spring in the fourth year of her mother's reign. She was her mother's fourth litter Her littermates had been deemed unworthy of the pack. So they were dealt with accordingly. Leilani has always lived in fear of her mother's wrath. One morning in the early dawn she ran away. She knew that the desert was not far away so she positioned herself towards the forest hoping to find a pack to take her in. After many days she found herself in the thick woodlands. She stayed there for many months until she was more than a year old. Finally starving and exhausted, she raced across the prairie hoping to find her pack. But she was hopelessly lost she stumbled into the desert. She fell into a cactus. Swirling green light surrounded Leilani and the Cactus Cat appeared. "I grant you my blessing." The Cactus Cat says. The green light is gone and Leilani is alone. But she is covered in cacti! She no longer feels hungry, thirsty, or tired. She is ready to continue her journey.

Tundra

Leilani trudged through the tundra, the icy winter winds tearing at her pelt. Without a doubt, this was completely different from the desert. Desperate for shelter, the traveler took refuge in a nearby bush, which was surprisingly large enough to be comfortable. She was frozen half to death, yet the thick branches provided exceptional protection from the wind. After resting for a few minutes to regain a little strength, Leilani dug a small burrow under the bush, which she used as a makeshift nest. By morning, she felt thoroughly rested. The wind had died down as well, and the sun had melted a bit of the snow. Feeling great, the traveler continued on her journey, eager to walk where no wolf has ever walked before.

As Leilani made her way back south she came across a brilliant white she-wolf, Spirit, she said her name was. She had come from the Burning Thorn pack from the rainforest, describing a pack of strange, tree-climbing wolves, that explained why she was so small, and her claws were so long. After a while, the two parted, going their own ways, Leilani further southward, towards the Rainforest, to meet this strange pack, and Spirit northward, to the tundra perhaps.
She wandered through the rainforest once she arrived, keeping an eye on the canopy as she looked for the Burning Thorn pack. She was so preoccupied with looking for them, that it took her quite a while to notice the foliage stopped getting caught on the cacti which grew from her pelt, thick ferns, and towering monstera gave way to fragrant guaiacum shrubs, whose vibrant purple flowers swayed gently as she went by.
Leilani paused as a pair of wolves crashed through the canopy above, ducking and weaving around the branches as they chased after each other. They were most certainly brothers, as their pelts were very similar. The larger of the two nearly fell out of the canopy when he noticed her, scrambling as he slipped from the branch he stood on "Marmoset," he whispered very loudly that wolf has CACTUSES growing from her fur!" the smaller brother caught up with him, whacking him upside the head with a paw "Sagoin, you know it's rude to point stuff like that out!" Marmoset turned to look down at Leilani "So what brings you here, stranger?" He clambered down the tree and Sagoin followed shortly after "I just heard about a pack of tree-climbing wolves and decided to take a look. Are you from the Burning Thorn pack?" Sagoin nodded and Marmoset beckoned her to follow "You've come to the right place then," He said, parting a trailing curtain of vines to reveal a clearing bustling with wolves, all small and with long claws, just like Spirit, Sagoin and Marmoset.
Shortly after she had arrived, another wolf made their way to the Burning Thorn pack, Holly was a mysterious she-wolf who didn't speak much and was always on the move. She respected her tenacity and became friends during her short stay.
