Shadow's first adventure took her to the lands of the Flint Pack, deep within the deciduous forest. Their leader, Halden, welcomed her with open arms and hosted her for a few days before sending her on her way with a few bones to help hold her over.

After wandering aimlessly for awhile, Shadow found herself in the territory of Moonburrow. Greeted by a rather kind wolf by the name of Sandstorm. Sandstorm offered to let her stay for awhile, taking her back to meet the other wolves. The leader, Valkyrie, did not seem so happy with this. After awhile Valkyrie reluctantly agreed to give the wolf shelter, but only for a short while. Upon leaving, Sandstorm stopped her in her tracks to gift her a small trinket.
