Iris was a wolfdog, bred as a guarddog. But her soft nature and unwolflike markings left her undesirable. She was inevitably chained to a tree, where she was left to die until Thyre found her. Thyre is a wolfdog like her, and she still scavanges near the humans. She couldn't free her kin, but could hurry back to the pack, calling for air. It took a lot of effort and a lot of nearly giving up, with a need to bring food to her side. But once the chain was rusted enough, Vanja managed to break the chain, finally setting her free. She's still skittish and not the strongest, but does well with the pups. As such does she spend her days resting at the den and watching out for the little one's, finally living a calm and good life.
