The Sunset Prince was the first pup from one of his mothers litters to both grow up and stay in the pack. He's heard stories of his elder brothers and sisters, scattered out there in the world somewhere, how many were allowed to stay but ultimately parted ways with their birth pack. Not him though. From birth, King La-Lune had taken a deep fondness to this son of his. Watching him closely and training him himself, La-Lune and Le-Soir we're inseparable. La-Lune even bestowed some of his lunar gifts to his son, passing the torch of being a Child of the Moon.

Le-Soir was still an adolescent when his younger sister, Princess Ulmithir was born. Like his father, he had a sense of when things seemed wrong, and despite how his mother embraced the pup so closely, and named her as heir, Le-Soir and his father both sensed something wrong. Something evil was dormant inside his beloved little sister, and he feared that one day, it would be released.
