Found by none other than MoonBound on one of her nightly outings, Orion was adopted into the pack immediately. He was left on the edge of their pack territory by his parents, who as far as Orion could remember, possessed some powers also pertaining to the moon. This made MoonBound all the more curious as to what this young pup could offer and do, but as she knows, his abilities will come with time, either as he reaches adulthood or through a traumatic event like hers.
MoonBound being the matefinder, also brought in Orion for her own plans, her daughters mate. The moon goddess had expressed to MoonBound that her daughter NovaStar's mate was not currently part of the pack, rather would be brought in. When she saw Orion on the edge of the territory, a connection was immediately made, like the stars aligned. She has yet to disclose this to both Orion and NovaStar, but the bond is already forming.
