4/7/23 retired and made immortal. love u nyla.

a small wolfdog with more courage than sense, nyla was raised amongst humans, with a wolf father and a dog mother. she and her siblings lived as strays in a human village until the call of the wild proved too strong for her to resist and she left the cobblestone streets and paved paths of the humans for the dusty game trails of the rolling hills of her father's homeland. but she never gained a fear of man even as she lived away from them, and would occasionally go back to see her family-- and to steal from garbage cans, of course.

eventually over time, she collected other likeminded hybrids like herself; wolfdogs and coywolves and coydogs, the outcasts of wolf society, and they made their own sort of accidental pack within an abandoned mine. since they had little fear of humans and didn't mind yoinking things from them, they inadvertently made a business for themselves, trading the things they'd stolen to wolves too cautious to steal themselves.

while trying to deal with the meddling faelcu, nyla felt a change overcome herself... she defended her fellow wolves, of course, but she'd always been a tricksy and curious beast, and found herself more intrigued with the faelcu than perhaps was healthy. she took to exploring the caves that the wisps of light had led her into with an unfortunate abandon, and over the course of her many jaunts into them something inside her began to stir...
