**When Next Gen Grow Up** Tide will briefly step down from her stalking role and finish her training scouting the Glacier. At level 20 she will assess her own condition and Raven’s progress, either taking her place as stalker or retiring.
Obsidian Tide Pool was brought into The Goose Pup pack as a young puppy. She was scrawny when Wildfire found her, but there was a fierce determination to survive in the pup and Wildfire quickly saw what a boon Tide could be to the pack. When he brought her back to the mountainous den, many of the adults were surprised to learn that both Wildfire and Tide intended to keep her around forever. She was on of the first permanent members of the small gaggle of misfit wolves. Lizard was quickly assigned to ensure her survival. He was also a new member of the small pack, and though he was young he showed promise when interacting with the pups under Valley's watchful eyes. Wildfire figured that where the young wolf's inexperience failed the pair, Tide's fierce determination to stay alive would keep her safe.
Within a month it was clear Wildfire had made a good decision, and Tide quickly took on weight. The scraggly pup blossomed under the care of the pack, and by the time she was ready to join the hunters she was a large healthy girl with a thick healthy coat. When she matured and the scent of her heat wafted through the dens of the pack, Wildfire rejoiced when Tide came to him. Tide was honored to carry the first litter of the goose pup pack. As her belly swelled the pack weighted with baited breath for the first true generation of the goose pup pack. Within four full moons the mighty she-wolf gave birth to two healthy pups - Ember and Sparks. The pack howled the news across their lands, singing of their pride and survival to any creature who would listen. Tide cared for them dutifully until they were nursed, barely able to be convinced to join the hunters even when Lizard and Valley took over their care and protection.
As her children grew bigger and stronger the she wolf slowly fell back into her duties with more and more vigor. Though she loved her children dearly, the well being of the pack as a whole was always her first priority. The pack is not whole without her, just as she is not whole without the pack, Wildfire had been heard stating about the lovely dual colored warrior. She became renown in the pack for her ability to pick up a trail in any condition, no matter the season. Tide was a true pillar of the goose pup pack. Amongst her peers she quick to resolve arguments, acting easily as a third party diplomat. To Wildfire she was a thoughtful counsel. Never eager to offer her own tongue, but careful and deliberate when she did speak.
One stormy summer afternoon, Sparks returned from her scouting with news of an aging leader. He was as strong as the largest crowned elk in the herd, but his days were numbered. She had stumbled upon his lands in her wandering. Though he had a prosperous pack, he had few of his bloodline to carry on his strength of will and resolve. Tide listened to Sparks tale of the great leader intently. With Wildfire’s permission Tide went to see the other lead wolf the next morning. When she returned that evening it was with visible excitement. “My heat is nearly a season away, but I will visit Kibee again then.”
Many members of the pack looked up to Tide. As the scent of heat wafted around the dens of the goose pup pack, one she wolf after another took her turn visiting the aging gray male. Tide was a bit embarrassed, but she made the journey all the same when her time came.
