Extra: Säkve wasn't born into the pack, as traditions dictate Commanders to be, but she is anything but traditional. Found wandering the frigid cliff sides of Blackstone Hook, Riverwind allowed the brave little pup sanctuary amongst his kin. Nocturne Valley immediately took to the pup, as the harsh winters seemed to only give life to the pup as time passed by. Not only did Nature itself look kindly upon Säkve, but the pack did as well, and as she grew, she became well-liked throughout the Valley. Already, having become Riverwind and Caliban's adoptive daughter, she decided to stay and live in this new pack life.
Tragedy struck upon her coming of age when the Nocturne's Warden Padfoot slipped away in his sleep, leaving behind Warden Segen and their newborn daughter. As per pack custom, a new warden had to step up within the next moon. Segen, next in line to the role through experience, stepped down soon after accepting the role, and instead bequeathed command on to Säkve. Despite all laws and tradition preventing this succession, few in the Valley contended with it.
The tale didn't end there, however, as on one frozen Winter morn, a violent sickness overtook Caliban. The Nocturne Commander, her father, was eight years old at the time, and was in no condition to survive. Upon his death, he named her the pack's Commander.
