You find this lazy, long-legged adolescent dozing outside the cave in the morning sun. You start to turn to go, not wanting to disturb her. But Crater indicates for you to stop, and nods at a bluejay perched on the branch above.

The jay flutters, looking down at the sleeping wolf suspiciously. Sensing immediate no danger, it lands on the ground, and starts to peck at a pile of seeds scattered at Duskfeather's feet. You exchange a glance with Crater. She winks.

"Watch this."

Suddenly, Duskfeather springs to life, and springs towards the jay with open jaws. The bird takes off, but Duskfeather leaps like a cat, twisting and turning in midair, and manages to snag onto the jay's tail – but unfortunately, she only comes away with a mouthful of feathers.

Duskfeather picks herself up off the ground, and shakes herself off, looking annoyed.

"Great job!" Crater calls out. "You almost got it!"

Duskfeather trots over to the two of you. "Wasn't going for the bird." She says, her words slightly muffled. She spits out the feathers at Crater's feet.

"I just thought the young'uns could use a few more toys." Duskfeather glances at you with shrewd grin, and nods towards the pile.

"Ya want one?"

When you say you are going to adopt her and her half-sister, Duskfeather looks momentarily stunned. "Really? I mean... yeah! That sounds great." Duskfeather then turns to follow you, with a bit more swagger in her gait, and Sulfur following in her footsteps.
