Lucan rolls his eyes. He's the last one of his generation that still hasn't come of age, and now he is confined to the Ivy Oak Warren with only Dionysus for company. It hadn't been so hard to bear when Yuri and Mika were still here, but now he is expected to share a den with a pup, by himself...
The Ivy Oak Warren is for trainees, and he doesn't need any more training!
"Yuri taught me how to watch birds today," chirps Dionysus with her annoyingly enthusiastic voice. "She said I was really good at it."
"It's just bird-watching, there's not a lot to it," Lucan replies, glaring down at her. "Malleus taught me how to bird-watch when I was your age. Actually, I think I was younger. I'm a really fast learner, you see, so I did all my training early."
"Why aren't you out hunting with Adiris, then? Isn't she your sister? She's my mother's sister, and my mother is your sister, so--"
Lucan nearly bares his teeth. "Alright, I get it!" he snaps, "We share a mother, but you'd think we weren't related at all. Honestly, Sable should've made me one of The Peak Order chasers, no matter how young I was. I'd do a much better job than Adiris."
Dionysus seems to think this over... Not for very long, though. Typical pup. "You'd have to be pretty good to beat Adiris. She's really, really fast. Oh! But she saw my training session a few days ago and she said I was super duper fast! How awesome is that, Lucan? Maybe I can be a chaser for The Peak Order one day!"
Chuckling without humour, Lucan stands to make his way over to... well, anywhere that Dionysus isn't. "If I couldn't do it, then you don't have a chance, pup."
