Come Along

While Lichen had lived the majority of her life as a normal wolf, that all changed soon after the pup, Rune, was born. Immediately, Lichen could sense another presence by the young one, always lingering just on the edges of her vision. There was a cool, autumn day when Rune had disappeared from the Unkind's dens, gone without a trace it seemed. It took most of the day to find her, but when they did she had changed. That's when Lichen knew her suspicions were correct--but not correct enough it seemed. It was only a couple moons later when her dreams had led her down into a stagnant cave, illuminated with an eerie emerald glow. It was there that Lichen was touched by...by something. She didn't know what, of course she didn't, but when she awoke her pack was surrounding her and her warm grey fur was gone. In it's place, was dark fur and markings the color of clovers.
