Sorrow stood at the cave's entrance, 3 blue wolves stalking forwards and snarling at him. Cyanocitta, Cristata, and Blue jay, his siblings; had turned on him when they found out he wasn't a true wolf. No, he was the forbidden offspring of a Reloxel and a Lunar wolf. Reloxel's only caused trouble in the pack's eyes, so surely he would become the same.
Sorrow held his position, watching there eyes cautiously. "I have done no harm," He growled, getting frustrated with his angered littermates. "You've got our parents blood as well, it just doesn't visibly show in you're fur as much. This is fully unfair, and we can keep this secret and continue our lives-" He began, before being cut off by Blue Jay.
"Continue our lives? When there's a danger in our pack!" He snapped, forcing Sorrow to fall back to avoid being bitten. There not listening to me! Sorrow somberly thought, stepping out of the cave and into the daylight. Many of his pack had crowded around the scene now due to the yelling.
Sorrow watched as Cyanocitta stepped Infront of Blue jay and gently nudged him backwards, forcing him further in the cave and creating a distance between Sorrow and them. Her eyes continued to be filled with hatred towards Sorrow, but there was still a glint of love for her brother in them. After a few longing seconds, she looked away and turned back towards Blue jay. "No need to get violent." She softly reminded Blue jay, licking his ear.
The pack's leader, Bluebird, stepped forward. "What's going on?" He demanded, to which the upset Cristata replied. "Exile him! He's a monster and he'll harm us all!" She cried, rushing over and shoving her face into Bluebird's fur in a dramatic show of sadness. In reality, she never liked her brother, unlike Blue jay and Cyanocitta, who were heartbroken when they found out the truth.
Bluebird ignored Cristata's drama and glared at Sorrow. "This is the 4th time you've caused trouble this sunrise, Sorrow. You've become quite a disruption to the pack." Bluebird growled, glancing at the crowd they had created. Sorrow stood there, frozen by fear. He couldn't challenge the leader. But all of those times had reasonable explanations! He internally cried, hanging his head lowly and wondering if he could run quick enough to escape.
His heart broke at the next words that were spoken, and all of time seemed to slow down. "Sorrow.." Bluebird's eyes went blank, hiding any signs of emotions they felt in that moment as they continued. "I may not known what caused the commotion this time, but from this moment on you are hereby exiled from our pack. We did not raise you for you to cause unnecessary problems, and you are now expected to leave before the next dawn."
It had now been a few hours since Sorrow had left. He couldn't bear the emotional pain of staying and waiting until dawn, in a pack he was no longer welcomed in ever again. His steps were slow as his feet dragged. But I didn't even do anything wrong this time.. He simply repeated, whimpering as he replayed all the memories he had made. Why didn't his siblings get in trouble, too? Did Cristata plan something like this? Why was the world so cruel?
"Sorrow, wait!" A yell behind him made him stop, his fur bristling as he turned around, lips drawn back in a snarl. His eyes went wide as he realized who had followed him: Oceandusk, his pupsitter when he was still a young pup. The elderly wolf must've been following him, and she stopped, panting as she gazed up at him.
"Oceandusk!" Sorrow ran the short distance over to her, licking her face. He never had time to visit her while he was out hunting for the pack, most members were too overworked to visit there families. "I missed you, moonshine." She rasped, taking a step back.
Sorrow's emotions made him cry, too much was happening at once. First, he was exiled. Then, he got to see Oceandusk again. Oceandusk shouldn't be out this far in her age. Sorrow worried. He looked up at the sky, it would be dark soon. "Y-you shouldn't have followed me, Oceandusk. You'd be better off staying with the pack." He stuttered, he knew that the stubborn elder wouldn't listen to him, but his heart forced him to try for her safety.
Oceandusk simply shook her head. "They never liked me that much anyway, bet they won't even notice I'm gone. I'm much better off with you, moonshine." She wheezed, limping ahead of Sorrow. "Now, let's go on an adventure, little pup. We'll figure the wild out. They can't stop us now!"
