Yr Ddraig Gwyrdd

Another day, another hunt. Tyko had done her job already, tracking a wounded bison deep into the forest, letting the others hurry after it with snarls and gnashing teeth. She followed slowly, saving her energy for dragging the carcass home, or for finding more prey if needed. She had every faith in her packmates, so she chose to take her time admiring the trees, green and unchanging even as the world settled into Autumn.

She didn't notice the other wolf until she nearly bumped into them, taking a startled step back. The wolf was so green they practically blended into the forest around them, a silver crown decorating a pair of black horns that adorned their head. Eyes of a million different shifting colours were fixed on Tyko, gazing at the white wolf with concern "Are you alright? I'm sorry if I startled you!" The other wolf was clearly much younger than Tyko, their voice melodic and full of concern. Tyko shook herself, then smiled warmly at the concerned stranger. "I'm fine, just not quite what I once was. You are?"

"Ddraig! Ddraig Gwyrdd! I was just following a bison hunt, see if I could get any scraps." Tyko noticed that the wolf was thin, and felt a sudden, almost maternal urge to protect them. She sniffed a few times, the scent of blood and prey-fear flowing through the trees telling her that her packmates were more than likely about to succeed in taking the bison down. "That's my pack hunting, would you like to join us?" The green wolf wagged their tail enthusiastically, zooming a few times around the older wolf with glee. "Diolch! Thank you! I promise I'll be helpful!" Tyko knew it was up to Galanthus to decide, but she'd definitely put a good word in for this charming young stranger.
