I found Oriole in the wilds of the Deciduous Forest. She lived alone in a cave deep in the woods, learning the ways of the wild and listening to the stars, which she believes hold the souls of all wolves. When I invited her to join Volantes, Oriole saw a sign from the stars and readily accepted. At first, I placed her in the role of a hunter, and she stalked prey with all the skill she had gained in the wilds. However, one night, she received a vision that I had fallen ill and rushed to help me immediately. Instinctively, Oriole moved to gather the correct herbs to heal me, and, miraculously, I regained my health. It was then that Oriole knew she was meant to be a healer. Now, she uses her connection with the ancestors to make cures for the pack's ailments, and she shares her knowledge of the afterlife with our pack. Her neutral attitude helps her mediate any conflicts that arise, which I'm very grateful for. We all believe in the stars now, and we look to them in times of fortune and struggle. Before she became the pack healer, she mated with Shrike in the hopes of producing pups for the pack. Now that she's had her son, Warrior, and her daughter, Guillemot, she is conflicted about how she can manage to care for her pack and her children. Oriole has discussed her feelings with me and, with my permission, has decided to disown them after they're weaned. It will be tough on all of us, but I put them under Sandpiper's care as their new mother, with Oriole's blessing. In the future, no Medicine Wolf will be allowed to have pups. It's simply too much. One of her pups, Warrior, had to be given to another pack to keep peace because we overmarked our borders. She mourns his loss but knows it was necessary for our pack's survival. Guillemot is now being raised by Sandpiper.
