She came into the pack with her sister, Uva, and quickly made friends with the others, one she liked the most was called Isbjörn. When the other pups wanted to compete with her she easily outdid them. Combined with her red fur resembling blood stains, she was named Slaktaren by the adults. She and Isbjörn got along well and he taught her the way around the pack.
Evidently, she grew up and immedietly joined the hunters, insisting on doing two wolves work until they could find another wolf for the team. Honestly, she liked doing more work than the others.
One chilly spring evening, she was out in the woods on a walk, as she usually was when she had freetime. She enjoyed the cool breeze and the new smells. She didn't realize she had walked so far until two red eyes stared at her from the shadows. They almost glowed at her in the dark, but not the way her alphas kind eyes used to. She got ready to defend herself, but when the wolf came closer she saw him fully. She wouldn't be able to describe him to people other than saying he looked grim, scary, nothing short of a demon. And well, she was into it.
They didn't believe her when she said she had met a demon, they said she must've been dreaming, maybe she fell asleep in the woods? But Astrid confirmed to everyone that she was indeed pregnant. Some of the wolves became worried, what if she did meet a demon and is now bringing home demon pups?
"If he looked like a demon, why did you breed with him?" Lymmel asked her curiously. All the young adults laughed together, Slaktaren too, when they found out the answer!
Slaktaren couldn't stop thinking of him.
Everyone was excited to meet the newborn "demon pups" as they jokingly called them, but Slaktaren only allowed a few of her friends in to see them.
"Does any of them resemble him?" Isbjörn sniffed at the squeeking little beans.
"Well, the black one a tiny bit. But they mostly look like me, especially this one" she said and poked a red smudged little grey bean with her nose. The black pup wriggled over to get attention too. It did have some of its fathers markings but way less intense. Slaktaren guessed beong pitch black would only strengthen his status as a demon pup, though.
"Just normal pups" they called them, after everyone had seen them. But when they opened their eyes, the one resembling its mother revealed bright red orbs. Were they glowing? No one wanted to look long enough to find out. It didn't get better for the pups when they grew older and showed their personalities. The red eyed one would constantly act suspicious and was very good at following people around or sneaking out and getting in trouble. The black one was worse, he growled at everyone who came close to him except his mother and his siblings. Once he even attacked his pupsitter. But mostly he just stayed away. Slaktaren was.. worried. Wolves started finding her pups creepy. Some even started trusting her previous tale of how she met a demon in the forest! Slaktaren didn't know what to think
