She joined the pack when she was 2, almost 3, years old. She had wandered away from her old pack, lored by strange lights in the night. When she finally came to she didn't recognize her surroundings, she couldn't even remember her own name or her pack. Luna felt sorry for her and allowed her to join the Whiteclaw pack, giving her the name Cassia.
After Luna passed away, Cress took on the mantle of pack leader, but he had yet to choose and train a successor to his place as chaser on the Southstar hunting team. So, he asked Cassia to take over temporarily.
