I spent 56 GC on him, between the RMAs and the Relaxed pose variant. Definitely not getting that back but oh well

Kaleidoscope really isn't hesitant. He acts on his whims whenever they enter his seemingly empty head, which makes him either look eloquently, effortlessly efficient - perfect for spur-of-the-moment decisions while taking down her prey - or stupid and awkward. This, paired with his stubbornness inherited from her grandfather, can easily send him spiraling down the wrong path. Kaleidoscope is also often negative - he is a ball of energy a lot of the time, which makes the depressing observations that come from his mouth all the more jarring and impactful, and his lack of a filter means these often distressing comments are almost never kept to himself, and if you spend time around him you will know that if something bad happens to him, he will not shut up about it. His endless ranting is often negative, like his disposition, so he can seem almost whiny at times. He sees the world through a glass half-empty lens, which makes him quick to shoot down anything positive, with a pessimistic factoid about the situation. However, he is introspective too. His constant cynical view of things makes him quite sharp - he is quick to point out any potential dangers which, while sometimes irritating, can also make him a useful asset and friend.
Kaleidoscope was born on a hot summer night in the Prairie. His mother, Ichor, bore two other pups, but those were given to the Enclave, and Kaleidoscope unfortunately never got the chance to see them again. He grew up relatively alone, except for a new albino pup named Nix, who Kaleidoscope's parents, Ichor and Rice, took care of until she grew up into adolescence and was settled in and, as they got older, Kaleido and Nix's bond slowly broke. Kaleidoscope went through adolescence smoothly, though Swiftlet, her aunt, disliked her after Kaleidoscope's mother Ichor gave her spore ears that were meant to signify Ichor and Swiftlet's siblinghood. He was shockingly skilled at his job as a chaser, but when he was only two and a half months into adulthood, Kaleidoscope's father, Rice, disappeared, and Kaleidoscope was forced to take his place as a finisher in the Crosswinds hunting group, giving up his old role. He made his way through illness, and fell in love with a younger wolf, daughter of Ether, named Annie. However, Annie promptly left the pack to travel as a nomad. She swore to the pack that she would return when she turned three years old, but Kaleidoscope did not believe her (thinking that if his father couldn't make it, how could Annie?), and bitterly mourned her as if she had died. Two months passed and Kaleidoscope found a new romance with Nix, his childhood friend, and soon became stepmother two her four (soon three) newborns, though Nix's older daughter, Molt, was slower to accept Kaleidoscope as her mother. Over a year passed by, without anything happening in Kaleidoscope's life other than him and Nix adopting a child named Autumnal. Then, out of the blue, Annie reappeared, and with her great tales of travels, fights, and her babies, who did not come back with her. Kaleidoscope, who had assumed she was dead, was shell-shocked.
Kaleidoscope was given his name due to his multicolored fur and skin and hetero eyes. former base was Gray Lighter, former skin was Fallow.
