Elara

Being a Jupiter descendant meant a couple of things: you were expected to be a leader, you were expected to be beautiful, and most importantly, you were expected to be a Moonwalker - a wolf that could enter the Dreamlands, like nearly all Jupiter wolves before her... including her father, Iocaste: a wolf thoroughly blessed to enter the Dreamlands at will, even without the presence of a full, new, or blue moon.
For Elara, being a Jupiter descendant meant one thing: too much room for disappointment. And boy howdy, there sure was a lot of disappointment thrown around.

"What do you mean you can't see her?" "Callisto's speaking to you, do not ignore her." "Elara! Come on, focus!" "I'm starting to think that she's not a Moonwalker after all." "Hmph. I wouldn't have thought this was even possible."

Yeah, that's right. Sisters Ersa and Elara, though blessed with their father's snowy coats, were unable to enter the Dreamlands themselves. They lacked the vision. Though they could be seen and interacted with by wolves presently in the Dreamlands - Ganymedes and Callisto surely were excited to meet their great-great-granddaughters - the sisters were completely unable to perceive the realm beyond the grass beneath their paws. Complete, utter disappointments.

Ersa, however, had luck on her side. Sometimes, she'd mention having seen what looked like lunar breeze, or silhouettes of what could be Cnitharian puppies at play. Europa, the current lead Jupiter, had once been much like her - brown-eyed at birth, yet still catching glimpses of the Dreamlands when the others traveled. Having seen herself in the she-wolf, Europa held her in high favor and decided to continue her training. Maybe one day she'd be able to view the Dreamlands in full.

As for Elara... well, she was left to decide her own fate. Jupiters weren't to be chased away, after all, no... but that didn't mean they couldn't leave of their own accord.
Elara met in secret with Laomedeia, the pack's herbalist, to gather enough materials to craft a satchel to carry herbs, toys, and food with her. She spoke with the pack elders and pupsitters at dusk, learning all there is to know of the dangers beyond the pack's mountain borders. She'd harass her brother Aoede, demanding to know of what paths were well trodden by scouts, and which to avoid. All done in preparation for something absurd: voluntarily leaving the pack in search of, well... something. Anything. Anything other than lingering in her den, counting stars she apparently couldn't see.

So, in the heat of the summer sun, Elara gathered her things, touched noses with her brother, and snuck off toward their territory's edge. This would be the start of something new, something bold: a Jupiter beyond her home.

- Yes, she may be pair bonded! But please be logical about this - you wouldn't fall in love with someone you just met, now would you? Please include the name of her partner and how long they remained together for (and/or why they got together/broke up if you wish, flavor text is always great).

- Elara will grow an itch to leave around 40 rollovers. If she has not found a new pack to wander off to within 46 rollovers, she will return home. Once she reaches 7y 0m, she will return home and remain there.
