Maginn is a charming, playful young wolf. After running into some trouble with her old pack, the Alpha's daughter, Sitri, and her fled together. She and Maginn travelled west into the Deciduous Forest, where they decided to make their home in a small hollow. Beneath her heavy golden fur are old scars. They've stopped hurting and aching, but the memory of them makes Magi shudder. She vows to be a benevolent leader.
Maginn licked at rabbit's blood, still wet between her claws. She felt Sitri watching her, expectant. "Well?"
Maginn paused, glancing towards her mate. Her fur was matted, mottled with crusty scabs. She was still recovering from her recent fight with her old pack. Maginn glanced at the remaining carcass, quickly realizing. "Well, it was very good!" She wagged her tail — that had become easier, and she was relieved for it. She hated not being able to express her happiness. "A clean kill, also. I give my compliments to the huntress."
"I think the spirits are pleased with us," Sitri beamed, licking Maginn's nose.
"That relieves me," Maginn smiled.
"The forest is bountiful." Sitri lowered her head, almost embarrassed. "And I've encountered some other lone wolves."
Maginn jolted upright, forcing a whine from her throat.
"No-one has been agressive. The wolves up here are looking for a home."
Maginn flattened her ears, nostrils flaring. She averted her eyes quickly. She hadn't realized how serious Sitri had meant to be when they were fleeing.
"We could provide that, you know. I think it would do us well to have more friends around. Think about it, Maginn, won't you? There are a few wolves I think I could convince… as long as you agree to accept them."
Maginn scowled.
"There's safety in numbers, you know." Sitri cocked her brow. "Sleep on it."
