You take solace in a moment before you notice; you are not alone. A moderately sized daze strolls towards you on paws that have practiced standing above the frost. You recoil away, preparing for the stranger's aggression, but he is moving so delicately; you abandon the pretense of a threat. "Evening; you must be lost," The unfamiliar daze tells you in sotto, "Winter has just begun in these parts, and it's getting dangerous. Shall I lead you some place safer?"

✶ Darling is an Ex-Solarclan prince, having been banished after his curse was revealed; a descendant of the late River's Tail. He is of average size and stature, but seems to grow mightier in the cold season. He is a very gentle and passive soul; something he practices; and a lover like most wolves of his kind. One would never suspect anything dangerous as he is capable. ✶

⭐⭐⭐ Charon: This wolf is a guide of the world after; and has the power to relieve wolves of their lives by sheer emotional response. This has thankfully happened only a single time, and he has determinedly kept himself in check ever since.

===《Lore 》===
The heavens were angry the day he was born.
Torrents of rain lashed at his mother while she labored under an open sky; alone, her litter's father demanded that he be the only wolf in attendance. The Solar Clan queen would not make it to see Darling alive; a late princess of the founder, River's Tail. For this act his body was deeply scarred as penitence; a Solarclan rite.

When the sky cleared Darling was the newest prince of Solarclan, raised by a different mate of the ahoaniu. He was given a different name which has been since rejected, and wolves only know him now by the name Devourer calls him. He traveled with Solarclan across the mountains for most of his puphood, followed by whispers and rumor.

As a child he stumbled into Divvadae's grave, which was accepting of him; strangely, as most other wolves are unable to locate it. Touching the pools in which the ancient body lies turned Darlings' fur a parched white; bleaching it of all life. When he dipped his head in for a drink; he met with the dead wolf. Divvadae was surprised at his appearance, blinking at the strange little prince. He'd yet another pup to talk to for centuries; usually only conversing with the living when it was time for a fourth wending. He was estatic to see another wolf who hadnt even undergone their first, and engaged Darling instantly. The two took to one another and got lost in conversation.

Rules were still rules to the living; however. In his excitement to make a friend his age, Divvadae forgot that his friend was drowning in the pool while they visited; and Darling drowned in the waters.

Out of guilt and affinity for the young prince, Divvadae revived him; once again mortal with a magic keeping his heart beating.
In exchange for the return of his life, Darling became a hand of Divvadae, a servant among the living. Powerful, but no god like Exult or Paroxysm. Being able to drift through the World After and the living, Darling corrals the souls of the dead during the barren seasons; guiding them to the stars so that they may rest. Certainly, the resurrected Darling was as sweet as he'd ever been; but his heart had a twist of cold that came from being dead. As the season grows colder and darker; suddenly, so does he. Darling's white fur grows long and omnipresent over the rest of his soft brown coat, and he becomes almost becomes a different wolf during the winter as he performs the duty of shepherding the dead. Quiet and unfeeling.

However during the warm season, he's as pleasant a wolf you can ever meet. Aside from this encounter with Divvadae, he maintained a relatively normal life of a mortal wolf. He would return to Solar Clan, and be outcasted after his power presented itself in an accident. The omens he carried now were too great for his clan to bear; A wolf with death on a chain. His father cast him west to where he might still find prospects, never to see his son again. But Darling obliged without complaint, carrying a deep guilt for the life he had taken. He would spend some time in the plains,

(Why is he a stud/reason for all his kids being canonical that i will write in later) - Seeing and taking all of these lost lives has him disconsolate, especially as his better half returns in the spring. Darling feels a sense of duty to return love to the wolves that have lost it, and during the winter season keeps femes company as a way of repaying what he must take from them and their families. He doesnt retain any attachments to wolves other then Devourer in the spring, but he's always happy to meet the pups he's sired.
