Storm Chaser

Storm Chaser entered her pack right before nightfall, the fog around her thick. The pups were still up, though sleepy but as they saw the light-coloured wolf approach, they all perked up and made their way towards her.

Storm Chaser smiled and sat down as millions of questions spilt from the pups, "Where did you go?" "Did you fight any bears?" "Was it cold where you went?" "Do squirrels actually throw acorns at you?" Storm Chaser laughed before moving her cloak back revealing numerous things, one of them being an unusually shiny blue ball.

She rolled the ball and instantly the pups started running and chasing after it. She watched the pups as they played with their newfound toy for quite some time before one pup came up to her, "What is it like out there?" The pup asked shyly, Storm Chaser smiled and got to the pup's height. "It's exciting. You see things you would've never imagined, I saw a beaver carrying tools while out and about. I've also seen rivers that are the size of mountains, it can be quite dangerous sometimes too." The pup stared at her in awe before Storm Chaser pulled out a strange flower and put it behind the pup's ear. "That is a flower I found in the desert, when you eat from it you feel stronger. It comes in handy but I only use it when needed." The pup nodded fascinated with their new accessory before they turned as their mother called them, but before they left the pup smiled with gratitude.

As the pups all went to their dens with their families, a few of the adults without them came out and stared at Storm Chaser, waiting for her to tell them about her newest adventures. Storm Chaser stared back at them before sighing softly, "I found a pack within the desert, their ways of life are different from our own. It is difficult to live there but they never waste even a little of food or water, they're calm and calculated with their resources. Their healer is one of a kind, he seems to always have the right medicine for even the sickest wolf. They have herbs that are extremely rare. I think we should start trading with them soon." Eventually, the pack calmed down while Storm Chaser rested for a few days before she went back out into the wilderness.
