Used Tampon's mother, Obelisk has a sense of humor. Just look at her name! "Used Tampon"! Ridiculous, right?
Luckily this poor wolf doesn't get made fun of for her name. Quite the opposite! She is accepted as one of the pack led under the alpha Lunar Flower. Many other pack members even call her "UT" for short. Her mentor Forest calls her "Tampy" affectionately. No one ever calls her by her full name unless she's in trouble.
Obelisk is a scatterbrained wolf, and often forgot to take care of UT while she was still young enough to need her milk. UT was skin and bones by the time she was due to be weaned, and only then did Obelisk notice the damage she had done.
Afraid that Dante would be disappointed in her for neglecting her pup, Obelisk traded her daughter to a neighboring pack. She disguised it as a gesture of good will, but she didn't want to be reason that Used Tampon died and wanted to pass off the blame to someone else. The neighboring pack subsequently traded them Obelisk's great-granddaughter in return.
Despite Obelisk's expectations, UT survived and even thrived in this new pack. She was blessed by the gods with an adult form and came to visit her mother. Though she was angry at her mother for the neglect, UT understood that it wasn't her fault. She was just very, very dumb and shouldn't have had pups in the first place.

UT caught wind of her mother's death and traveled to the pack to attend the funeral. She didn't shed a tear. She didn't care about her mother before, and she certainly wouldn't start now.
Hopefully her mother would repent for her actions in the afterlife.

A messenger arrived to the pack with an urgent message for UT. She opened the letter and she was excited to read, "Congratulations for becoming the ninth-highest stat pack member in the world. Unfortunately there is no prize, but we hope you become ever stronger in your quest to be the best!"
