They're covered in dirts, that's why you couldn't smell them, they hid their scent! "I thought i wouldn't meet a wolf in our hunting ground." The wolf huffed, looks like a stalker from a hunting party. "The name's ShadowClaw, One of the Hunter from ShadowForagers. I'm gonna be crow food if i don't find any scent. But your scent is getting in the way Mrs/Mr." You wanted to say something but was interrupted, "looks like you ain't leavin." The wolf murmured something you couldn't hear. "Fine, I'll just ask her if i could change hunting place, I'll tell her that 'there ain't any prey here'. heh" they smirked at you as they left.
