Born into a large and wealthy pack, Stone Heart, formerly known as Boulder, was the middle child of a large family. He never expected to be in a respected position, resigning himself to the shadows.
The pack seemed to change overnight when the leader was found dead and a new leader was elected. This leader demanded total loyalty and maimed any wolf who didn't follow his orders. Boulder couldn't tolerate the demands of the leader, and ran away under the cover of night. He wandered for days, trying to find a pack that would take him in. He spent a while on the fringes of the River Light Pack, and Lightning Crown took him under her wing.
