She was always busy cleaning up and looking after her littermates even going as far as to be the one assigning each one to specific hunting party's. Kotori's grand she-wolf would always joke about how she was born to be a leader.

New beginnings
In a small, murky puddle leftover from a recent rain shower, two young wolves play joyfully, oblivious to the challenges awaiting them in their harsh new home. Kotori suddenly stops and gazes at the darkening sky.
"What's the matter?" Diego asks, puzzled by her sudden stillness. She meets his eyes.
"Don't you sense it? The storm looming on the horizon," Kotori teases with a sly smile, her tail swishing gently behind her.
"Now that you mention it," he barks, turning towards the setting sun, trying to conceal the blush spreading across his snout. "We should seek shelter," he suggests, shaking off the water and dust clinging to his amber fur.
"Agreed." After following suit and shaking off her coat, they both venture into the unknown expanse of the desert that they hope to turn into an oasis.
When the dust settles, only the leaders will remain.
