Biography
Ceremonial name
From the moment he was born, Altair's fate to be the next scout of Absentia was sealed. As is customary in their pack, he was given a baby bird hatched on the same day to be his lifelong companion. Should he ever get lost, hurt, or simply need a helping paw while out on his travels, he has his trusty bird, Svetlana, to help.
He also managed to pick up a mother fox and her kits, somehow. He came across the heavily pregnant fox in the freezing rain one chilly morning during a scout, and instead of reaping the such an easy meal; he sat with her, keeping the poor lady warm until the weather passed, and he could ease her to camp. After a long nap in a warm bed, some freshly caught grouse, and a refreshing sip of water, she introduced herself as Fatima, a kind soul who'd been struggling to care for herself as of lateβas her partner had abandoned her quite a while ago now.
While the other wolves of Absentia may have been extremely hesitant; Altair took her in immediately, hunting and caring for her when she inevitably had her kits. Now, the little family follows Altair wherever he goes, Fatima adoring him with every bit of her heart, and her two children looking up to the wolf as a sort of father. It's clear this dear friend of his won't be leaving anytime soonβshe's practically one of the pack.
