Elliot sits, her 9 year old brain comprehending why her mother would bring home a dog when she was so mean to her own children. Elliot scampered outside towards the old wire dog kennel her parents had left over from former pets, weary of the black and white dog, scared that it might bite her small hand. She sits across from the dog, a girl and a dog sitting on two different sides of a fence. Elliot smiles when the soft brown eyes peer at her ecstatic the beautiful animal would even look at her. Once the dog started whining Elliot realized that it might be hungry so she quickly runs into the house filling two bowls one of water and the other of dog food from her mother's other dog Rocket after she accomplished her task she trotted outside carful not to spill the water or food in her hands. The dog looks at her hesitating frame, nervous to go inside the kennel but she brushes the fear away and approaches the dog slowly. As soon as Elliot places the bowls down the dog scarfes the food down. A voice calls from the house angrily and both her and the dog whip their heads towards the house and Mia watched Elliot run into the house. 12/31/22
