Twins were exciting to hear about. The den was stirring as their herbalist went down, birthing first two sons, and then a third....and then a fourth. Mint was too exhausted to worry about them past scooting them to her stomach, drowsing after they were all cleaned. It was Blossom coming in to check on her that alerted her that something was wrong with her twins.

Two pups, six legs. They were deformed. When Aster and Buttercup came so Mint could return to her duties, Buttercup took Charcoal and Ginger's brothers and left Aster with the 'worthless, malformed' little creature. Already minding little Rose, Aster had problem watching her 'three' charges.

Though the twins are very helpful and sweet, they both have very distinct personalities. Charcoal is the more assertive and aggressive of the two, while Ginger is more laid back. While both are always willing to lend a paw where able, Ginger prefers to be asked while Charcoal takes initiative.

Despite their perpetual puppyhood, Charcoal and Ginger strive to help the pack in any way they can. This includes catching butterflies. Obscura was finally able to procure the assistance of a courageous wolf to remain with Charcoal and Ginger in the quarantine den, a fellow named Absalom who takes his job as sitter of the immortal twins and helper of the healer very seriously.
