Eclipse

Wait, where was she again? Eclipse had been in her pack a moment ago. Now where was she? In the middle of a forest? How did she come here again? Ooh! Lizard! She began to pounce and chase the small lizard. She eventually made it to a cave and bumped into a big furry creature. "Oh! Sorry!" She rubbed her head and looked up at the light brown wolf staring back at her. "Aaack! Stranger!" She began to run away, but the wolf picked her up and brought her closer. "Hey, there, it's alright. Where did you come from?" She looked around and took a couple steps back, but she quickly realized that the wolf had strategically quieted her to a corner of the cave far away from the entrance. "I-I came from uh…." Why couldn't she remember the name "A pack… somewhere… I don't remember."
"Oh!" The wolf said "Well, if you're lost, you can stay here for a while." He picked her up and brought her across the clearing into another cave. He set her down in front of a light blue and gray wolf. "Ice Runner, I found this pup in my den. She says she's lost." The blue and gray wolf called Ice Runner looked down at her. Ice Runner obviously saw she was scared, because she licked her head and said, "It's alright, we are not dangerous. Would you like to stay here?" She shifted closer to the blue wolf and nodded slowly. Ice Runner move her closer, she liked the warmth of other wolves. "What's your name?" The brown wolf asked. "Eclipse…" she squeaked. "Well, Eclipse, welcome to the Shrouded Pack." Now his smile was warm and friendly, how had she not noticed this before. Ice Runner and the brown wolf, who she now knows is Cali, accepted her as their pup and showed her around the pack clearing and the caves. She felt more comfortable over time and quickly memorized the layout of the clearing and caves. She even became great friends with one of the pups there, Leranz, which (with his glowing fans and tendrils) became the perfect night light when the moon barely shone in the sky.

Eventually, she became a scout-in-training in case the current scouts, Hidden Shade and Quiet Paws, stopped at some point. Which was weird, in the pack she was in before, they just had, like, learning wolves or apprentices, they didn't have set roles. But this was fine, she could get used to it. However, one thing she could never get used to was one green pup… Bitter Leaf. Bitter Leaf was Ice Runner and Cali's daughter, but oh, was she entirely different from them. The closest was Cali, who just acted weird… but Bitter Leaf. Bitter Leaf was just evil. She would tease Eclipse and foil her training so she would be scolded by whoever her mentor was. She tried to talk about this with Ice Runner and Cali, but they just said it was normal for a pup to be jealous and that SHE should try being kinder! HER of all wolves! Eclipse was the kindest wolf in the clearing! Well, I guess that is a bit biased, but still! Now, the worst thing in the world was to live in the clearing. Bitter Leaf made her life miserable. Once in a while, she was able to escape the noise and just sit under a tree, but that didn't help. Bitter Leaf would get her in trouble all the time to the point where she wasn't allowed to leave camp for 20 sunrises! It was terrible.

Eclipse felt terrible when one of her sisters died to an alligator. Why had Waning Moon left the clearing? It was a sad night for everyone.

One night, all the wolves were called to the middle of the clearing for Leranz and her's wolf ceremony. This was the night where she could prove herself, though not change her name like others in the pack. Her name reminded her of her past home. Both her and Leranz passed the test and were accepted as hunters.
