Pitch Black, otherwise known as Blackie to his friends and family, comes off as a tough and intimidating wolf. Pitch Black doesn't care for his nickname Blackie, because he feels it takes away from his toughness. Blackie is a scout, and comes off as kind of scary to other wolves, although it is just looks.
Although Blackie tries to come off as a tough and stoic wolf, deep inside he is just afraid of being rejected again, so he pretends that he doesn't care at all. Only some wolves know this side of him.
