She remembers the beginning. Great tall trees, foliage and life as far as you could see. Life inhabited every corner. Flora and Fauna coexisted in peace, perfectly intwined. The creature, a wolf. She was from the land of before. Entropy, particles separating and joining as she stood. Feathers and fur, fur and feathers. A beautiful thing. Her mouth burned with fire and she choked. It was a new land, and different, so different. The first thing she remembers, light. She had never seen so many colors. All that she knew was blue and black. Vibrant red flowers bloomed before her, skittering dusty squirrels climbed mossy trees. Crawling vines twined around all the forest. She was too hot, the air burned her. Tips of her coat started to singe and fade. Pain, searing pain. The wolf collapsed, coughing up blue. But she forced herself to her feet. She threw her chest forward, tripping and wheezing, out of the heat. Better, but not safe. The creature continued. Mountains and Valleys, new sights around every turn. Still she ran. Entropy, she came to the snow. It was soft and white, it cooled her pain. Steam rolled off her back, she felt peace. The first in a while. Now, in the crags of ice and rock, the creature still hides up in the mountains.
