Vespertilio

Vespertilio was wandering happily outside of her densite as a puppy, when she came across a cave. It housed thousands of bats, who didn't notice her arrival and dozed peacefully. She made her way deeper into the mountainside, becoming lost in the endless passages. A terrible hunger beset her, gnawing at her stomach and forcing her to find food, but where? Eventually, she pounced upon a defenseless sleeping bat in her desperation, the ruckus awakening the entire cave system. She managed to kill the bat, but at a terrible price. The colony was outraged at her blatant butchery of one their kin within their walls, and pounced upon her, viciously clawing at her eyes in barbarian revenge. Vespertilio would never see again, and black smoke would forever pour out of her eyes, a signal to all that she was a murderer. She was as blind as a bat.
