Humble Bear came to the Autumnfall pack in his first winter as a lone wolf, joining Steady Leaves as a hunter, before shifting to assisting Devoted Frost with the pack's many winter pups. He even followed the sarcastic herbalist around for a bit, but nothing felt quite right. He just didn't feel at home anyplace but on the open road, seeing new sights, hearing new sounds, meeting new folks. As spring thawed out the world, the pups growing stronger, and the hunting growing easier, Humble Bear decided it was time to set out once more, though he is grateful to have a place to call 'home' if he should ever need it. When he left, Steady Leaves gifted him with a jay feather like hers, as a reminder of his old hunting team. He is a quiet, modest wolf who most enjoys seeing new sights and hearing the stories of others' adventures and lives. One doesn't need to travel to have an adventurous life, or to have a story to tell.

Lore: Humble Bear was strolling around the new territory, following the directions of a fellow traveler wolf, Paco, he had passed by a few hours ago. Soon Humble Bear had encountered a welcoming young she-wolf, Elvira the pack leader of Evanescence. She lead him to camp and introduced the pack to their new company with lots of greetings and stories. Humble Bear has become good friends with two young hunters, Embry and Newt.
One morning Humble Bear started continuously scratching his ears after morning patrol and hunt. Indigo had diagnosed him with ear mites which was quickly taken care of after working on the cure for a few hours.

Home again in the lovely warmth of a summer forest, Humble Bear was plesantly surprised to see how much the pack had grown. The little pups he remembered were apprentices now, some even old enough to have earned new adulthood names. Tinypup, however, was obviously dismayed. When Humble Bear inquired as to the trouble, he learned that the traveler Paco had befriended the runty pup, and Tiny was still sad he was gone. He tried to cheer the pup up with stories of his time at the Evanescence pack, where Paco had directed him to, when Biting Bark overheard his praise of the young herbalist who had fixed his itching ears. It wasn't long before fellow traveler Moss Step.was heading out, bearing a little something to drop off at Evanescence. In the name of recipe comparison and the growth of knowledge, of course, not because hearing how wonderful the aloof Indigo was had ruffled his fur. With the youngster somewhat reassured, or at least distracted, Humble Bear settled down to enjoy a brief respite in the Autumnfall pack's forest. Soon he'd be on the road again, but perhaps not while it was quite so hot as this heatwave.

Lore: Humble Bear came across the Spirit Dwellers completely by accident. In his search for fresh water and a place to catch some food between packs, he spotted a wolf at the river. They struck up a conversation as they rested, and she introduced herself as Eridanus. She said she was a traveler from a pack just on the other side of the small hill. She said she was on her way there and could take him with her. Humble Bear, excited at the prospect of having a real den to sleep in tonight, followed her. When he reached the pack he was welcomed and stayed for a while, learning about the ways the pack communicated with the spirits of fallen wolves. When it was time to go, Humble Bear said his farewells and set off into the winter sun.

Lore: Humble Bear arrived at the Ionia Pack territory on the second day of March. He was welcomed and directed towards the Friendly cave, where he was told there would be other wolves that he would get along with due to their similar personality traits. Demacia, the alpha of the pack came up to him the next day asking if he might be able to look after some of the puppies. He, of course, said yes and got to meet Tiny, a one-month-old female puppy with vibrant red eyes, and Chocolate, a 1 and a half month old with eccentric blue eyes.
