It's a curse, watching your love die


SpoilerI wasn't the pup you would see playing around and doing things a pup should do in the pup sitting cave.
I was the pup who would sneak away and follow the scouts out, I'de be adventuring, looking for a reason to do things other's would be too scared to do.
But when I kept getting further and further away from the pack, the more I didn't want to go back, I wanted to explore forever without rules, and to do things that the other wolves would despise of.

One day I just decided I wouldn't come back, and so, this is how my life began to get interestingly better.



CHAPTER 1: the beginning of Eternity
My mother was the herbalist of the pack, so she had taught me the basics of health and herbs,
My father was the main scout, he was the one who taught me how to be a strong and capable wolf.
Putting those two completely different things together was a smart idea, I can run fast, hunt well, and scout the land, but I can also heal my wounds, forage for herbs, and create remedies for sicknesses, all of the stuff a wolf should know for survival
Now I'm alone in this forest and the leaves are crunching under my paws as I walk through this unknown territory, the smells of new growth float past my nose , interesting new smells I have never before smelt in my life, no matter how many times I try to place what a smell is, a new smell comes and I lose train of thought, I could try focusing on one smell at a time but-
Wait..
I smell a creature I haven't smelt in ages
I tread closer and the smell gets stronger, it is strangely familiar
I hear a humming noise and peek through a curtain of draping vines and see her
A beautiful Blue She-wolf lays before my eyes, humming a song, she is the most gorgeous wolf I have seen in my lifetime, I clear my throat and her head perks up as I walk through the vines.
"I am sorry for the interruption but I couldn't just walk by without saying anything, your.. the first wolf I've seen in moons" I say to the she-wolf, she looks at me and pins her ears back, her face full of fear as she looks at me.
"I'm sorry to scare you, but do you know where I-"
she bolts off before I even finish, I chase after her, leaping over logs and rocks as I try to keep up with her, confused.
"Hey—WAIT!!"
my heart is pounding in my chest as I come to a clearing, the she wolf slips into a cave opening, I sigh and follow her, curious on where she is going and still confused on why she ran.
I hear chatter and laughter as I draw closer and deeper into the cave, light shines into my eyes as I emerge back into sunlight, as my eyes adjust I notice there is a crowd of wolves in the clearing, I tuck into the back and look around for the female, I see her and trot after her, not wanting to draw attention to myself, as I follow the female she goes into a large part of the cave, I go in after her and realise it is a cave dedicated to the females and young wolves of the pack, I silently sniff around, searching for the females scent.
"Why did you follow me?"
My ears prick up as I hear a soft voice from behind me, I swivel around as the she-wolf is there, standing tall and staring at me. I shake my head to focus "I'm sorry, your the first wolf I have seen in Moon's and Ive been so alone..." I trail off as I realize she has relaxed, the air around her calming .
"my apologies loner, I've been wary of outsiders, but I come to realize that not everywolf is going to attack me, I'm Sapphira, I'm the alpha's daughter of the Great Tree pack"
I introduce myself to Sapphira as Kaipo, I explain everything about my puphood all the way to this very moment, not leaving a single detail out, after what felt like Moon's she smiled at me, easing my anxiousness, I ask her about her history and she sighs.
"Well Kaipo, my history isn't nearly as fabulous, being raised by a pack alpha is tough, but being raised by my mother is taking it to a whole other level"
As she explained about how she got her name, and how she was one of the few rare wolves her pack has seen, I found myself caught up in her, she was a beautiful wolf, calm and gentle, just like her name, maybe I had found my home for now? I hoped so, but as this moment, I let her explain everything about her story and wondered if she realised that I was actually more focused on her than her words.
