"Who am I to tempt fate?", She sighed to herself as she picked her way through the woods.

She was now nameless and without a pack, a nobody. A true lone wolf. What was she supposed to do? She was destined to be bonded to the next leader of the storm pack, that wretched wolf. She could feel her blood boil at the very thought of him. No way could she settle for years of abuse. Being a lone wolf has to be the better option, right?

Months pasts, many sleepless nights and small meals, but she kept moving. Not quite knowing where or what she was traveling. She had decided early in her journey that she would follow this light in the sky. It was always in the same spot so it seemed like a good thing to follow but the nights grew colder and the environment harsher. 'How much longer can I go on like this?'

"Hello? Is somebody out there?"

Startled at the sound of another voice she could not bring herself to reply at first. It had been months since she heard the barks of another wolf. She shook herself off before finally speaking, "Yes. Who are you?"

"I would like to ask you that first, considering you have wandered into my pack's territory.", Replied the voice from the shadows.

Maybe this is what she had been looking for, maybe this is where the light was guiding her! It had been so long since she had a name and she had changed so much. She couldn't think of her name.

"I have been traveling for many moons, please forgive me, I do not recall what I was once called.", She replied nervously, afraid the strange wolf would not react well and think she is trying to fool them.

"Well,' The wolf emerged from the shadows so she could finally see them. It was a she-wolf with kind eyes and a big stature. she looked strong and fierce yet fair. 'If you would like to end your travels I can find a place in my pack for you, but first, you will need a name."

She thought hard for several moments, shuffling her paws in the snow. She looked up to meet the eyes of the kind pack leader, "Tempest. My name will be Tempest"

"That is a strong name. I am sure that you have earned it. Hello Tempest. Follow me back to your new home, I'm sure everyone will be very excited to meet you. The great traveling wolf"
