Abandoned. Unwanted. The laughing stock of an entire pack. That's how Laughing feels about it all, about her family and her role in the pack. Why must she be subservient to those who clearly don't care? Why must she lay tooth to fur onto animals she won't even eat. Why must she be belittled with her own name?
'Laughing' Falcon. If it were someone else, it would be amusing. But no, she has to bear a name that isn't even hers. What a joke to everything she stands for. But rumours have been spreading... Upheavel isn't so far away, and she plans to be on the winning side no matter what. No one will ever laugh at her name ever again.
It all started when she gulped down a sacred bird. Maybe it was retaliation, maybe it was selfishness, but as Rough-Legged passed by, he saw the blood drips and the feathers on the ground. He was furious, and Laughing couldn't help but snicker just a little bit. All that barking just for one single bird? What were they- sparrows? No. Despite everything, she was still named after a Falcon, and that name she carried with pride.
She was send to the Feathering Edges, but she wasn't alone. The Sisters, despite their differences, joined her, and the rest of their family followed - for the most part. Maybe this won't be such a bad "punishment" after all...
