Pine's face paint represents his role as Scout. He received it during his officiation ceremony, which was held by Astra the day that he became an official Scout. It was painted on by the pack's herbalist, Tundra- who also reapplies it whenever needed. These early interactions were when the two first caught feelings for one another. While Tundra will apply the paint for Sol when needed, it became a much more meaningful act between her and Pine. Pine is incredibly fond of his face paint, both of how it looks and what it means. Everytime he sees the paint, he's reminded of the home he's found in the Phantomwood Pack. It changed his life for the better, and he's never been happier than he is now.
