He With Eyes of Glaciers was whelped in the plains, where his pack were golden and tawny with dark eyes that aided them in staying hidden on hunts. While his fur was indeed golden, his eyes were such a startling blue that the pack suspected he was touched by Winter, for his litter had been whelped very late in the season. He was seen as a good luck charm, his survival through the harsh winter guaranteeing the pack's success the following seasons. Eventually, he felt he needed to break away from his pack to find something more, and so he wandered to the Land on High.
