After stumbling across a strange wolf, Aurora, a young dispersal found herself in a strange environment and, after making a friend or two along the way, established the Borealis Pack, calling herself the alpha. Deep in thought on one of her many solo explorations, she was jumped by a pack of eastern wolves. She was able to flee the battle, worse for wear and on death's door when a pair of brown paws came into her vision where she had collapsed on the forest floor. She thought it was one of the eastern wolves coming to finish the job until she felt a gentle lick on her muzzle. She noticed that it was a completely different wolf, and he healed her until she was ready to get back to her pack. The wolf, named Phoenix, decided to join as the pack's herbalist and later on was asked to serve as Aurora's mate. Though not officially pair-bonded yet, the two care for each other deeply and have already had two daughters, Ayla and Juno.
