Athena always hated everything she saw. From a bird to the sound of water splashing against the rocks of the riverbank, she wished it would just all go away. And on top of that she had to constantly be around her whole family. She wanted some freedom, some peace and quiet, but then her mother suddenly had to give her up. The famine had caught up to them. Now there was no one annoying her, no one to tell her when to go to sleep. There wasn't really anyone. And.. and it felt scary.
During the night, she was found by an older wolf, who saw her eyes gleam in the nightlight. He knew he couldn't leave a pup alone, so he begrudhingly took her along. She was in a pack again, even if unofficially. Now, the sound of talking wasn't as grating anymore. And when she was offered something to eat, the feeling was different. If only... she could apologize to her parents.
